Aghinagh
Aghinagh is a club based in Cork
Their club was born out of the wish for their parish to have its own team. One of the founder members was 17 when the club was founded and was instrumental in its formation. 62 yrs later and he has not missed a GPC meeting, he is the club president and still marks the lines on the pitch. This is how important the club is to the community. They are very people orientated and their Junior A team take pride in helping out as much as possible. They have a juvenile referee in their ranks and he was recently chosen to referee the half time primary game in the senior championship game between Cork and Waterford and he got so many offers of help for the game that you would think it was the All-Ireland Final he was refereeing. Without the GAA club there would probably not be as many happy carefree children as there are. The gates are never locked and most days you will find groups of young people on the pitch having a game.
