Graham Taylor Lines-Out for Kerry Roadshow
Comment (0)Ulster Bank and Kerry GAA stars, Kieran Donaghy and Darran O’Sullivan, were joined by a selection of sporting greats including former England football manager, Graham Taylor, and former Kerry team-mate Darragh O’Sé, as the ‘Off the Ball Roadshow with Ulster Bank’ travelled to the Towers Pub, Glenbeigh, on Monday, 4th July.
Ulster Bank has once again teamed up with Newstalk 106-108 fm to take Ireland’s most popular sports programme on a tour across the country, where rival Ulster Bank GAA stars such as Kieran Donaghy, Joe Bergin, Michael Fennelly and Karl Lacey, among others, will feature in the live shows.
Ulster Bank and Newstalk brought former England football manager, Graham Taylor, and Kerry GAA legend, Darragh O’Sé, to Glenbeigh for what proved to be another fantastic live broadcast. Attended by over 200 people, the show broadcast live from the Towers Pub, Glenbeigh, Kerry – home town of Ulster Bank and Kerry GAA football star, Darran O’Sullivan.
The ‘Off The Ball Roadshow with Ulster Bank’ gives people the opportunity to experience the multi award-winning show broadcast live from GAA haunts across the country, as part of Ulster Bank’s recently extended three-year sponsorship of the GAA Football All-Ireland Championship.
Ulster Bank has also launched a major new club focused initiative called ‘Ulster Bank GAA Force’. The initiative will support local GAA clubs across the country by giving them the opportunity to refurbish and upgrade their facilities. One lucky GAA club will receive the top award including support worth €25,000, while four runners-up (one from each province) will receive a support package worth €5,000. Open to GAA clubs across the island of Ireland, entries must be submitted online - www.ulsterbank.com/gaa - by Friday, 19th August 2011.
Speaking after the 2011 Off the Ball Roadshow with Ulster Bank in Kerry, Off the Ball Presenter, Eoin McDevitt, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Ulster Bank once again to bring Off the Ball on the road for the 2011 GAA Championships. Two years ago Kerry welcomed us with open arms and I am delighted to say that this year has been no different. The people of Kerry coupled with some fantastic guests, provided an electric atmosphere for the live broadcast.”
Justin Healy, Branch Manager, Ulster Bank Killarney, said, “Kerry’s Off the Ball Roadshow with Ulster Bank was a real success two years ago. This year has been no exception. We recently launched the Ulster Bank GAA Force initiative. The live broadcast helped us to communicate the message that local GAA clubs need local support – reinforcing exactly what Ulster Bank GAA Force is all about.”
For your chance to win tickets to Off the Ball’s remaining live broadcasts, tune in to Newstalk 106-108 fm or log on to www.newstalk.ie/offtheball and www.ulsterbank.com/gaa .
