Who is your sporting hero?
Michael Jordan in basketball and Darragh O’Se in football.
How do you combine work and playing/training?
It’s tough to have the energy all the time with all the training but in the banking world it helps to be well known in your local area.
What’s your number one training tip?
Give 100% all the time it’s the only way to train and enjoy it.
What do you enjoy/hate the most about pre-season training?
Slogging through muck and gutter in freezing cold conditions; as you can tell I’m a summer time footballer. I enjoy looking at how depressed the boys are in the dressing room before we head out to train in the winter time.
When did you make your county debut?
Vs Dublin in the national league 2005 in Austin Stacks Park Tralee where I was playing mid field.
What’s the most memorable match you’ve played in?
Hard to pick one game I suppose beating Armagh in 2006 was massive and it got rid of the whole Ulster hoodoo that was hanging over us. Dublin in the semi in 2007 was huge, to experience a Dublin Kerry match in a full house in Croke Park.
What, if any, other sports do you play?
Basketball has always been a huge part of my life and a sport that I love just as much as football.
Tell us one thing people might not know about you?
That I gave up football for two years when I was 16 and 17 because I was no good.
How long have you been working for Ulster Bank?
Since April 2006.
What’s the best thing about playing for your county?
Following the footsteps of all the greats that have gone before us.
What’s your favourite away venue and why?
Croke Park. It’s the best stadium in the world and nothing like sprinting on to it with 29 other fellas in green and gold jerseys.
Who have your toughest opponents been?
In my three years of playing with Kerry I would have to say it was Dublin in last year’s semi final. When they get on a roll in Croke Park with 70000 people cheering them on there very hard to stop.
Who’s the best player you’ve played with/against?
The best I have played with would be Colm ‘Gooch’ Cooper without a shadow of a doubt and best player I have played against would be Aidan O Mahoney the toughest man on the Kerry team and a nightmare when he is marking you.
What is your motto in life?
Live life to the max and enjoy every minute of it, we just don’t know what’s around the corner.
